Air Duct Cleaning, Dryer Vent Cleaning,
& Chimney Cleaning in NJ

Serving Monmouth & Ocean County, New Jersey

As time goes by, it is simply a fact that dirt, dust, and other foreign debri will build up in your vents, vent returns and air ducts.  Even proper air duct filtration maintenance, dust will accumulate over time.  For both health & safety reasons, it is wise to thoroughly clean your air ducts at least once per year to ensure proper air flow.

Dryer vents and vent tubing are also often overlooked as a potential area of concern because dryers usually have a solid filter to capture lint.  However, the vent tubing is visually out of site & is forgotten about.  The lint in the tubing can become a fire hazard if not cleaned.

JD will make your air ducts & dryer vents perform like new.

Air Duct Ventilation & Maintenance

Air quality in the home is very important. While opening up the windows can bring a nice breeze into the home, it is not a substitute for a clean ventilation system. Air duct cleaning NJ and dryer vent cleaning along with changing filters often, can vastly improve the air quality and reduce health risks for your family. Additional benefit is lower energy costs as the system will not have to work as hard to maintain proper temperatures.

Replacing air filters is critical to air quality and health

Proper Maintenance For Air Ducts and Dryer Vents

While cleaning your air ducts and dryer vents is important to improving air quality in the home, it is NOT the only change necessary. In fact, while air duct cleaning is wise, the most frequent cleaning and vital task to improve air quality is replacing the air filters used in your furnace or central heating system every 60-90 days. Here’s why!

The actual air filter on the furnace is there to catch the loose dust and dirt particles about to go into the air ducts. These filters are catching debri particles that are loose and in the air and most likely will make it into the home itself. These filters get dirtier faster and need more frequent changing. Air duct cleaning will remove the dust and debri that has settled and is cluttering up the tubing inside the system. Our recommendation is to use only quality air filters. Whenever we perform an air duct cleaning service, we replace all air filters as well.

What Our Clients Are Saying

Our reputation is very important to us and we protect it with awesome customer service!

Dear Don & John,
I just wanted to reach out and thank you for solving our poor air quality and continually increasing energy bills.  I never realized how cluttered our air ducts were and the amount of problems they were causing.  The results have been fantastic even though we can hardly tell you were even here except for the improvement inside our home.  I will be recommending you to my friends as well.   Thank you so much!

Improve Air Quality in Your Home

Air Duct Cleaning is a great way to improve the air quality in the home, but it is one of many measures, not the only measure.   Proper understanding of your heating & cooling system you have in your home and some basic air ventilation strategies and pollutant reduction techniques will go a long way in maintaining high air quality year round.

The EPA and other trusted sources on this strongly recommend that “source control” is normally the best solution.  This means that controlling the source of ventilation and not simply relying on air filtration of recirculated air is the best strategy.  In short, this means introducing fresh air into the home weather permitting and making sure filtration systems are strong when this isn’t possible.

Source Control

Since the vast majority of home heating and cooling systems, including forced air heating systems, do not mechanically bring fresh air into the house, opening windows, doors, & operating windows or attic fans becomes very important to improving air quality in the home. Running a window air conditioner with the vent control open increases the outdoor ventilation rate as well.  This is proper source control. Don’t simply rely on your hvac filtration.

Proper air circulation from fresh air sources is needed.  Local bathroom or kitchen fans that exhaust outdoors remove contaminants and pollutants directly from the room where the fan is located and will also increase the outdoor air ventilation rate.

JD Family Vent Cleaning is not just interested in improving the air ducts of families in New Jersey.  We are interested in improving the air quality for families in NJ.  Please contact us for a free consultation today.
